Truths that endure and make their way through new global and specific challenges of our country

Those who say, “No one believes in what they cannot see,” or in “slogans and promises that do not materialize into results,” seem to suggest that in the midst of this acute economic crisis that Cuba is experiencing due to well-known causes—which journalists do not shy away from proclaiming—there is a need for a “necessary evil” to occur. This “evil” is that Cubans suffer more and more needs, including hunger and lack of medicines, so that later the “common good” of freedom from that “dictatorship” that oppresses them can be achieved.

And the shamelessness of the imperialist political operatives does not stop there; it extends into an insidious campaign of media manipulation against the government, the Party, and against all Cubans who defend the Revolution.

It is time for a counteroffensive in communication across the entire front of the media battle to counteract all those lies and perverse imputations of imperialism and the counterrevolution.

It is essential to emphasize this in every workplace, with the participation of workers’ unions. The power of the people is expressed in the strength of our labor collectives.

It is necessary for this battle to be led by the grassroots organizations of the Party and by officials and political coordinators where there is no PCC grassroots structure.

In each territory, municipality, people’s council, and constituency, all “the factors” and political activists in the community must hold preparation and clarification meetings about the true content of this crisis, its causes, and the ways we have to emerge victorious.

An additional effort must be made to support the plans for the recovery of productive capacities, for organizational distribution in each locality, and to achieve more control and social discipline to have a summer with various options for the family, children, and young people who enjoy their vacations.

Already, the few resources that exist are being mobilized; work is being done to have a less acute energy situation and to mobilize forces to attend to the needs and complaints of the population.

With the effort and conscious unity of all, we will be in a position to strengthen collaboration with friendly countries: Russia, China, Vietnam, Venezuela, Mexico, and integration into the BRICS, the Eurasian Union, ALBA, TCP, among others, as well as solidarity movements with our heroic people.

We will move forward and we will overcome.
