Cuba denounces U.S. propaganda campaign to destabilize the Revolution
Gobierno cubano expone campaña de EE.UU. con cuentas falsas y bots para crear descontento contra la Revolución. Canciller Rodríguez denuncia injerencia y violación del Derecho Internacional.
Havana, Cuba – The Cuban government, through its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, denounced a new U.S.-funded propaganda operation designed to manipulate public opinion and promote a false image of discontent against the Cuban Revolution.
Evidence of Digital Manipulation from Florida
In a message posted on his official Facebook account, Chancellor Rodríguez revealed that the supposed “spontaneous” reactions to posts by the U.S. Embassy in Cuba are actually part of a campaign orchestrated from Florida. Counterrevolutionary groups, with the support of U.S. authorities, massively replicate content to impose a narrative of destabilization in Cuba.
“This is not the first time Washington has used dirty methods against Cuba, but now we have proof of their digital manipulation,” Rodríguez stated.
Violation of International Law
The chancellor emphasized that the U.S. has no right to interfere in Cuba’s internal affairs, thereby violating:
- International Law
- Cuba’s sovereignty
- The principle of self-determination of peoples
This aggression is part of an unconventional war that includes:
✔️ The economic blockade against Cuba.
✔️ Political subversion.
✔️ Media manipulation.
The U.S. Disinformation Machine Against Cuba
According to the Cuban government, this operation follows the same pattern of destabilization campaigns promoted by the U.S. in other countries:
- Fake accounts and bots amplifying anti-Cuba messages.
- Far-right groups in Florida coordinating digital attacks.
- Use of social media (Facebook, Twitter) to spread lies.
Cuba has faced these interventionist practices for decades, which seek to justify the economic blockade and unilateral sanctions imposed by Washington.
Cuba’s Firmness Against Aggression
Rodríguez reaffirmed that the Cuban people will not be manipulated:
“Cuba resists, Cuba defends itself, and Cuba will prevail. The truth is on the side of those who fight for their sovereignty.”
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to:
- Condemn these violations.
- Demand that the U.S. cease its hostile policy.
While the U.S. insists on its failed strategy to overthrow the Revolution, Cuba once again demonstrates its dignity and resistance.
