Cynicism of the European Union and the United States

While the European Union does not cease to sanction Russia in an attempt to weaken its economy, it has done nothing similar against the fascist regime of Israel, which unleashes violence against the Palestinian people, turning them into victims of the ongoing holocaust.
On May 20, 2025, the ever “concerned” European Union regarding human rights in countries such as Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and others with sovereign governments unacceptable to the Yankees, approved the 17th package of sanctions against Russia, a position that confirms the double standards of this institution, subservient to the dictates of the White House.
Sanctions against Russia have only harmed European countries due to rising gas, oil, and other essential raw material prices necessary for their industries. This situation has led to a decline in their internal economies and affected citizens’ wallets, but they benefit the United States by becoming the substitute for Russian exports to Europe, even at higher prices.
According to statements from Kaja Kallas, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European bloc: “The new measures also address hybrid threats and human rights, but more sanctions against Russia are being prepared, because the longer the armed conflict with Ukraine lasts, the harsher the EU’s response will be.”
Hypocrites and bootlickers of the Yankees who dare not impose sanctions with the same strength on Israel, the murderous regime that for 19 months has been bombing the Palestinian civilian population, leaving over 60,000 dead, mostly children and women, as Israel’s purpose is to exterminate Palestinians and seize all their land. These crimes do not lead to sanctions or calls to end such atrocities.
Israeli bombings target hospitals, schools, religious temples, apartment buildings, and shopping centers, not military camps, aimed solely at a civilian population already on the brink of death from hunger and thirst, without the “worried” Europeans condemning and sanctioning the Israeli regime.
They have not proposed sanctioning Israel in the sports, diplomatic, or commercial spheres, and the Zionist state continues to enjoy all international benefits; Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is received by Yankee and European presidents like a hero, despite the murders weighing upon his shoulders.
How can European parliamentarians and leaders sleep peacefully knowing that an entire people is mercilessly massacred by Netanyahu, and surviving children suffer malnutrition and illness, barely surviving starvation and Israeli bombs?
On May 15, 2025, Palestinian authorities reported that due to ruthless Israeli bombings during the early morning hours, 114 people died instantly, with a similar number seriously injured.
The Indonesian Hospital, one of the few still standing, reported that 22 children and 15 women died during nighttime bombardments of their homes in northern Jabalia. Al Awda Hospital that same night also received the corpses of nine people, including seven children.
Israelis are so criminal that they carry out attacks when citizens are asleep, preventing them from seeking shelter.
Israel has blockaded Gaza for ten weeks to achieve its goal of killing its population through hunger and disease, yet this seems insufficient for the European Union and the United States to sanction Israel or include it in lists of countries violating human rights, religious freedom, and their dubious listings reserved for nations refusing to bow before them.
On May 26, 2025, Donald Trump described Vladimir Putin, on his Truth Social account, as having gone completely mad, supposedly because he unnecessarily kills many people in Ukraine by launching missiles and drones against cities without reason, adding he was outraged by the scale of the attack, which included over 298 drones and 69 missiles launched against Ukrainian cities.
Trump justified his words by stating that bombings affect Ukrainian civilians and accused Putin of acting without reason or clear strategy, beyond absolute territorial ambition.
Doesn’t Trump know that Zelenskyy has been bombing Russian towns and cities for months, destroying houses, civilian buildings, factories, schools, shopping centers, and even the nuclear plant, potentially triggering a catastrophe across Europe?
Zelenskyy publicly stated he would attack Moscow during the Victory Day parade against German fascism on May 9, and Russian forces managed to intercept several drones launched by Kiev. However, neither the European Union nor Washington labeled Zelenskyy as insane and devoid of common sense.
NATO supports and encourages Ukraine in this war against Russia driven by its desire to destroy it, ignoring that no military force has achieved this so far, and in this war, Kiev suffers the worst outcomes.
Images of destruction in Palestine are chilling—rescuers pulling charred bodies of children, devastated women, and a city in complete ruins. Men carrying their loved ones in their arms to bury them and hundreds of hungry children trying to reach minimal food rations form a daily scene, all amid the complicit silence of the UN, the Security Council, the White House, the European Union, and its Parliament.
There is much hypocrisy in a world where financial interests come before the right to life, only for these powers to later declare themselves defenders of human rights.
José Martí was not mistaken when he wrote:
“There are few things in the world as hated as hypocrites.”
